Facilities

The Department has an excellent infrastructure for conducting research and academic activities. The special features are as follows:

• The department has qualified teaching faculty members with extensive knowledge in the various fields of Computer Science.
• The department has wide variety of open source software facilities for students and research scholars to do their Laboratory works and research works respectively.
• The department is facilitated with extensive computing resources include more than 70 high-performance computers.
• The department provides wireless internet connectivity for staff, scholars and students.
• The department is equipped with ICT tools such as smart board and projector in classrooms and Laboratory.

LABORATORY:
The department has Computer Laboratory with state-of-art computers which provide excellent computing capabilities. This laboratory caters the need of the hardware, software, and operational support required for laboratory work. The laboratory is facilitated with adequate number of computers and peripherals of latest configurations. Each student is allotted to work in an individual computer during lab sessions. The laboratory also has a variety of software that includes various programming languages, development environments, advanced tools for graphics, etc.  All computers are connected with high-end network supported by multiple high speed dedicated internet connectivity.

Smart Class Rooms
Two smart classrooms have been established in our department in this academic year. Instead of writing on the board, the teacher uses PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, photos, videos, and audios. Softcopy of these learning resources are distributed to students for enhancing their knowledge.

DEPARTMENTAL LIBRARY:

The department has set up its own library keeping in mind the necessities of the students and teaching responsibilities of the faculty. It has a good collection of technological books as well as of core subjects in the field of computer science. The library has an organized reading space to provide reading facility to the students and teachers. Issuances of books are also provided and are maintained with proper records.
